Do you ever have trouble shopping for the men in your life? Unless they are very specific about what they want I usually have the hardest time! I came up with a list of some items that are sure to please. Any gift backed with a little bit of thought usually goes far with guys, if it comes from you, they are sure to love the gift no matter what it is!
The AG Denim I have selected on here is my favorite denim brand for guys, I have gotten my boyfriend several pairs and they are always a great fit and he says they are so comfortable! This particular style is my favorite, it's called The Graduate. I also always get hair/skin/shower products for him because he LOVES them but they are not something he would ever typically buy for himself. The Redken shampoo smells so good and the big bottles last forever, and Kiehls products are always fabulous and their Holiday Packages are such a good deal! Happy Holiday Shopping everyone, thanks for stopping by!
I love my cousin Haley and her style because it is so versatile. She can wear a preppy outfit, or a bohemian chic style and always look fabulous. I think it is important to change up your wardrobe and have fun with clothes! These slouchy pants have been so popular but I love her printed pair.
If you're looking for a good neutral lip color, I love the Clinique Lipstick she has on!
Also..I didn't know I was missing pointed toe booties until I saw hers....
This is the perfect outfit if you plan to do any black friday shopping, if it's freezing by you like it is by me this vest will keep you warm enough to run from your car into the store and you can leave your bulky jacket in the car!

Thanksgiving is already TOMORROW!! I wanted to take a minute from all the preparations and excitement to really think about what I am thankful for. Chocolate, Fuzzy Socks, A big cup of coffee and a good book.... I do love all of those things but what I am most thankful for is my amazing family. I look back on my life and realize how many amazing memories I have with my family, whether that be summers at the lake house with 20+ people, competitive card games that last into the later hours of the night or just the fact that I have had an army of supporters and motivators behind me for my entire life.
What would I do without all of these wonderful people? I am so grateful for each and every one of them, they have all contributed to a pretty amazing life. I get to spend Thanksgiving Day laughing, eating, playing....but I can't help but think of the millions of children without families on this day.
My family is the one thing I could not live without yet there are over 140 million orphans
around the world that don't get to experience the love of a forever family.
That breaks my heart into a million little pieces.
In 2012 I had the opportunity to travel to Maria's Big House of Hope in China with the amazing non-profit organization Show Hope. There I was lucky enough visit the most precious children I have ever encountered...and they were all orphans. I've had a heart for orphan care beginning in high school but ever since I held those children in my arms, not a day goes by that I do not think of them. I see there faces at night and hear their adorable little laughs. I came home to America and was greeted by my loved ones at the end of that trip, but all those children were still there, still waiting for their forever families. Show Hope is an amazing organization, one that provides Adoption Financial Grants to adoptive families and they have also established Special Care Centers like the one I visited, for orphans with special needs. Everyone can do something, donating money, spreading the word, bringing a waiting child home!
Mary Beth Chapman says it best.
" Not everyone's called to adopt, but everyone's called to do something"

I think that this outfit is both a classy look and a classic color combination. This amazing Michael Kors A-Line skirt is majorly on sale right now, so I had to put together an outfit so you all could take advantage of this great price. I'm obsessed with this skirt because the fabric is amazing and its such a perfect length on me. I am not super tall but typically mini skirts are too short on me, this one is PERFECT. The gold zipper detail on the back is fun too! I
Winter or Fall? I was getting used to the snow and now it is all gone thanks to the steady rain this weekend. And the forecast for today....we are supposed to get up to 5 inches!?
Make up your mind mother nature, my wardrobe is confused.
It was so warm this weekend that all I really needed was my vest and a warm scarf. I love all the fun vests I have found this season, fun prints instead of the basic black vest. I get compliments on this striped vest wherever I go! Someone find me a polka dot one!
My Longchamp is always the perfect tote, especially for this weekend because I could throw in everything I needed for a day full of Christmas Shopping!!
I am also wearing my favorite red lipstick that is an absolute must have for the holidays, it is that "perfect" red! If you are looking for a new red, I really suggest you get this one! Also, I wear my Alex & Ani bracelets every single day, they are relatively inexpensive and make such a perfect gift!
I went Christmas Shopping yesterday and got inspired to put together this gift guide for you all!
Have you put together your Christmas list yet? Here are list of the things I have stumbled upon while shopping that would make great gifts! (hint, hint, Santa) What are items you would all love to receive this Christmas?
I love this fur vest, add fur to anything and you just instantly feel glamorous. Another great thing about fur is that it's incredibly warm, which is fabulous because it is absolutely freezing here. My vest is from Mainstream Boutique, I adore this store because you can always pull a full outfit together in one place. Also I'm obsessed with this hat, I need to stock up on more cold weather wear, I will share some of my favorite accessories below. :)
ANNOUNCEMENT: I have a new favorite brand of denim, DL Premium Denim is seriously amazing. You can really move in theses and they do not stretch out and lose their shape. Do yourself a favor and invest in these!! You can order them from their website or they are also sold at Neimen Marcus! I'm wearing a black pair but these two styles are on my radar. (here & here)
I have been wanting to try the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel for a while, I love the look of gel on my nails but like to change my color more often than two weeks and it was just getting too expensive. You definitely do not get that bubbly look like you do at the salon, but I can say that it doesn't chip nearly as fast as some of my other colors. I love this color Bare Dare, it's a perfect nude for my skin tone.
I love any reason for my family to get together, but I especially love Thanksgiving because it involves so much delicious food! I have a large family; Parents + Three siblings + significant others + two adorable little nieces (that are my entire world) = A FULL HOUSE. On holidays every bedroom in the house is filled and we definitely utilize air matresses as well! I love being surrounded by the people I love the most. Forget sleeping in, there is no chance of that with this many people in a house! I can't wait to see each and every one of them in just one week!! We soak up every minute of being with each other, we play card games, drink delicious wine and cocktails and watch ELF on Black Friday. One year we played croquet in the snow! Oh now I am way too excited...ONE WEEK! I started to think about what I would wear, and these options are all cute and casual options for spending the day with your family. Do any of you have fun Thanksgiving Traditions?
I buy stripes more than anything else. If you shop at J.Crew or have ever seen their catalog, I think it is safe to say that they have proclaimed stripes a neutral. You can pair them with so much! My other favorite pattern is Leopard; shoes, scarves, handbags...you name it, I love it. Stripes and Leopard as a combination is a no brainer for me, however mixing other prints can become more tricky! That is what makes it fun, play dress up figure out what you like! I love a floral skirt with a striped top, or polka dots and stripes! What are your favorite prints to mix?
Hope you are all having a great week, thanks for reading!!
I'm sure you have all seen the Blanket Scarf a million times by now, I'm pretty sure almost everyone owns it. But the reason it is so popular is because it is SO warm and can be styled so many ways. This is only one way that I tie the scarf, and you can completely change the look of it depending on how you choose to wear it. It is literally a blanket you wear around your neck, strange concept but I love it! My favorite ways to style it are with navy and white stripes, your leather jacket, a striped or harringbone vest or over your favorite sweater. The sweater I'm wearing here is such a great color and one that you can never have enough of during the holiday season, the zippers on the bottom and shoulders add detail to a classic sweater.
Booties have been so popular for fall and these are my absolute favorite pair, they are the perfect color to wear with almost everything and a good heel height too!
