I love a pop of red for the Holidays. It's not a color I wear a lot but I love how much it stands out. I chose a red gown for our engagement pictures because of how much red stands out in photographs. This would be a great top to wear for any holiday pictures! 

If the cold shoulder isn't your thing, but still love the festive look for the holidays I also love this top.

Holiday Cozy

AH, oh my goodness I am in love with this blanket scarf. The colors are so perfect for the holiday season and it is just the perfect thing to wear with leggings while you are out and about! I did some major holiday shopping this weekend and also already have most presents wrapped. I was a total elf!! I picked up this hat while I was out shopping too, It is so warm and cozy!! 

This would be a perfect outfit if you are traveling around the holidays!!

Denim Style Secret

YAY! It's friday. I am celebrating Thanksgiving with my family this weekend because I will be in Chicago with Daves family next week. I am so excited to also do some decorating with my mom this weekend. I am so ready for all things Christmas!!

I wore this outfit running out to the grocery store with Dave last weekend in DC. We made the yummiest crock pot beef roast!! My denim is the secret that I want to tell you all about. I am denim obsessed, I hoard denim, I really truly do. I need some new denim so so badly but have not had the time to go to Nordstrom and try on 7000 pairs…which is always what I have to do. Whenever I need denim fast and cheap I go to Zara. I think the quality is great and most pairs are $39. I wear a size 6 consistanty across all styles and each time the fit is perfect. I think that Zara is truly world class in fit. I would recommend these jeans to anyone who needs to add a few more pairs to their wardrobe or if you are not yet ready to spend a big chunk of change on designer.

Essential Fall Items

There are a couple of fall staples that I could not live without. One being the infamous blanket scarf. I've linked up a ton at the bottom of this post for you to shop! I love this paticular blanket scarf because it's colors are so classic. This top is another staple that everyon should have in their fall wardrobe. Its a longer top so with jeans I tuck it slightly in the front, but this can also be worn long with a fur vest or a cozy sweater. It comes in several colors and is a top you will reach for on a regular basis. Olive is a huge color for fall so I personally love this color but the others are worth checking out as well! These super skinny jeans have been a favorite of mine for get this...6 years. They are so comfy, but the fit of them also makes them perfect for wearing with heels for a night out. It is so crucial to have jeans that are not baggy by your ankles if you are going to wear a heel! My sister used to work for Levi in San Francisco, from what she tells me it was an amazing company to work for. She got me these jeans when she worked there and they are still my favorite today, they have not faded throughout contant wear which is something I cannot even say about $200 jeans I own. Whatever you are doing Levi's...keep doing it.

Blanket Scarf Giveaway!

Here is how I tie my blanket scarf!

1. Fold the scarf in half so it forms a triangle

2. Grab the two corners and keep the single pointed end towards your toes :)

3. Cross the two tails around your neck 

4. Tuck the two tails under the front of your scarf

6. Thats it! You might have to play with it to get it to lay just right but it's pretty easy huh?

If you're like me, you have a million places to travel to over the holiday season. Traveling requires comfy clothes...my solution is always always leggings. I love this pair with the quilted side paneling that I picked up at Mainstream Boutique. I also think that a black sweater is a necessity, mine is a basic v-neck cozy sweater for less than $20, and I literally wear it like crazy. I'm sure you have all seen the Blanket Scarf a million times by now, I'm pretty sure almost everyone owns it. But the reason it is so popular is because it is SO warm and can be styled so many ways. This is only one way that I tie the scarf, and you can completely change the look of it depending on how you choose to wear it. It is literally a blanket you wear around your neck, strange concept but I love it! My favorite ways to style it are with navy and white stripes, your leather jacket, a striped or harringbone vest or over your favorite sweater.  The sweater I'm wearing here is such a great color and one that you can never have enough of during the holiday season, the zippers on the bottom and shoulders add detail to a classic sweater.
 Booties have been so popular for fall and these are my absolute favorite pair, they are the perfect color to wear with almost everything and a good heel height too!
