We had so much fun taking Lila to the pumpkin patch this year! We decided to start fun little traditions like this right away so that she would always have these memories to look back on. Plus it will be fun for us to document how much she has grown!

I went to visit my parents in Wisconsin last weekend and couldn't resist to stop in their downtown area to take pictures by the gorgeous trees. The leaves change so much sooner there than they do in Chicago...it's crazy! It was one of the first nice fall days we have had so far and I couldn't wait to wear this scarf/cape. Its so cozy and is the perfect thing to wear with leggings! I am also obsessed with hair bow right now...maybe I am taking style notes from my daughter now?

I love a pop of red for the Holidays. It's not a color I wear a lot but I love how much it stands out. I chose a red gown for our engagement pictures because of how much red stands out in photographs. This would be a great top to wear for any holiday pictures! 

If the cold shoulder isn't your thing, but still love the festive look for the holidays I also love this top.

I had so much fun decorating for christmas, and it was even better because of the huge snowfall we received. I love having snow on Christmas! This outfit is the perfect casual christmas outfit while still being festive. These new cords are so soft and comfy and look so great with pops of red for the holidays. I am so bummed my sweatshirt is already sold out...I just bought it last week! I linked a super similar one and will update you if it comes back in stock!

The mad rush of holiday shopping has begun! I love hunting for the perfect gifts for everyone on my list and I am proud to say I have completely finished my holiday shopping...ON DECEMBER 3rd PEOPLE!

Now I  have to make sure that I am holiday ready!! 

Here are some of the biggest trends for this Holiday Season...I just had to have so many of these items!! I've linked these above as well as so many others at the bottom of this post!

Velvet is everywhere right now, and is just so glamorous and perfect for the holidays. 

Plaid & sparkle are holiday staples and I just cannot get enough. The bow on the plaid sleeveless top is just absolutely amazing and is going to be my Christmas Eve outfit! I plan to wear it with these red lace up heels (you will never believe where I got them!) & the J.Crew Martie Pant in Black!

Cozy lounge options are also a necessity during the holidays. I love these over the knee socks and cannot wait to get them in the mail, curl up with hot cocoa and watch White Christmas!

Fall Flannel

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. I never want to miss a minute of fall, of the beautiful trees and the crisp air. I also think that it is the most fun season to dress for. There are so many fun layers, warm fabrics and bold colors. 

One of my favorites for fall has always been plaid, I cannot get enough of it. Its so festive and can be worn so many different ways; dresses, skirts, tops, handbags! 

I saw this plaid shirtdress and knew I had to have it for fall. It is so incredibly soft and comfy! I paired it with a long suede vest a couple days later and it completely changed the look. Layering can take your favorite fall pieces and transform them into endless looks!

Sugar Plum Pants for the holidays

I love cold weather primarily for the sake of layering. I love a oversized sweater over my favorite plaid top or a collard shirt under a cozy crew neck. These pants started the inspiration for the entire outfit. I have been drawn to this color everywhere I go lately and so when I saw these pants at Nordstrom I knew I had to have them. The plaid top matched so perfectly and then I added a neutral to help break up the matchy matchy-ness of it all. I do not think I would wear the top with the pants alone…but if you like that look I would definitely throw a belt on to break up the pieces! Holiday Cozy

AH, oh my goodness I am in love with this blanket scarf. The colors are so perfect for the holiday season and it is just the perfect thing to wear with leggings while you are out and about! I did some major holiday shopping this weekend and also already have most presents wrapped. I was a total elf!! I picked up this hat while I was out shopping too, It is so warm and cozy!! 

This would be a perfect outfit if you are traveling around the holidays!!
