It is so freezing cold in Chicago right now so give me all the cozy sweaters!! Sometimes I don't want all the bulk of a sweater, but still need the warmth, this off the shoulder sweater is perfect for that! These black jeans are also super flattering!! I love love love them! They sold out so fast from nordstrom but I found them here for 25% off today with code THANX25. I have washed them a couple of times now too and they have not faded which is usually a problem I have with black jeans! These are super comfy because of the stretch..I couldn't reccommend them more!

PUMPKIN PATCH!

We had so much fun taking Lila to the pumpkin patch this year! We decided to start fun little traditions like this right away so that she would always have these memories to look back on. Plus it will be fun for us to document how much she has grown!

Striped Bandana scarf

I've struggled with how to wear these cute scarves for a couple seasons now. I always felt like I looked too much like a flight attendant! My cousin Emma wore hers with a sweater like this one and I felt totally inspired! I am IN LOVE with the colors in this striped silk bandana and love how it pops against the mustard yellow. Mustard is such a fall color to me...It's bright and cheery and just so festive. I have linked several sweaters below that I just adore.

I love love love white jeans paired with layers for fall! This sweater is my absolute FAVE because it is so oversized and cozy. I wear it with these sweatpants on the weekends because um...that is what weekends are for!!

I am so excited to spend the weekend with our best college friends at the Wisconsin vs Iowa game...I aboslutely plan on bringing this sweater because its going to be SO SO cold!!

Christmas Casual

How cute is this sweater? I love cute things like this that you can just throw on with jeans and look completely put together. I put this on, put on my favorite shade of pink lipstick and from then on it was non stop christmas shopping, wrapping and mailing! The easiest place to shoot these photos was at the post office because I feel like I have been living there lately!

Sugar Plum Pants for the holidays

I love cold weather primarily for the sake of layering. I love a oversized sweater over my favorite plaid top or a collard shirt under a cozy crew neck. These pants started the inspiration for the entire outfit. I have been drawn to this color everywhere I go lately and so when I saw these pants at Nordstrom I knew I had to have them. The plaid top matched so perfectly and then I added a neutral to help break up the matchy matchy-ness of it all. I do not think I would wear the top with the pants alone…but if you like that look I would definitely throw a belt on to break up the pieces! Note to self. Taking pictures by the lake, however beautiful is VERY windy. One of my favorite places in Milwaukee is along the lakefront. The water is so beautiful! If I could choose to live anywhere in the world it would be by some body of water, it is so peaceful and calming. 

This sweater is so so so cozy! I added pops of burgundy because I crave color in every single outfit I wear. Red is my favorite choice of a color pop or fall/holiday season.

Weekend Wishlist

I have been traveling nonstop since the last weekend in August, I am so excited to have a relaxing weekend at home with absolutely NO travel or timeline!! I have a never ending list of things to do however, including unpacking suitcases from the last several weekends,  starting 10 (not kidding) loads of laundry, organize my room, creating my halloween costume (follow along on snapchat; cait christy) and cleaning our apartment!! I plan to kick of the weekend doing absolutely none of those things...instead I have bought a face mask, this nail color and plan to watch (and quote) every line of Pride and Prejudice (My absolute favorite movie).

 This is a list of some things I have been craving lately! I purchased this floral romper last night and cannot wait to wear it with black boots and tights! It is so on board with Dolce & Gabanas collection right now except this one is only $25. Holla! I have also been on the look out for a new fall-esqe eye shadow pallet. My bestie Lauren just got a cute eyeshadow pallet from MAC and I was super impressed with the pigment these shadows have. I think this pallet looks perfect for this season!

I have also been seeing this sheer lacy look like this peplum top everywhere. I think it would be so perfect for date night with a black cami underneath, deep lipstick and some killer statement earrings like these.

Midi Skirts are a really flattering look on me with my height...I love that you can find them anywhere right now and I love that this one from Old Navy is only $22 (It also comes in charcoal for $10!!) I am also loving this cream sweater. We have had the weirdest september with temperatures the highest they have been in 15 years...isn't that crazy. The warm temperatures have taken a major toll on the retail world because nobody has been out there shopping for fall sweaters yet....but now it's time! I pulled all my sweaters out and can't wait to start layering away!
