HAPPY MONDAY!! I am in full holiday mode over here, I decorated my tree and have started checking gifts off my list. I feel like this outfit will be great for the holiday season. I am particularily obsessed with this sweater, it is fleece lined and so cozy! I would look super cute with jeans too! I bought these boots last year but they are currently on sale...I wear them with so much!! 

My lipstick is an absolute fave and a color I think looks so good on everybody. It is perfect for everyday and would be such a good color for Thanksgiving!

5 Lipstick Shades for fall

Sweater // Scarf // Jeans (faves and on sale!) // Booties (WATERPROOF!!) // Lipstick: D for Danger

I love fall because it's the time of year when I can pull out my favorite lipstick shades. The dark berry colors and fall neutrals that complement so many skin tones and can make a huge statement. 

Here are my five favorites in no particular order.

1.  Craving - This color is great for everyday wear. I go through this tube the most just because it can be worn with anything!

2.  D for Danger- This is what I am wearing in my pictures, the tube looks darker than it is in my opinion. It's a perfect berry hue for fall!

3.  Sin- This is a super dark berry color that I love for date night!

4.  Lily Lake - Fall plaids, and leopard prints, just about everything looks good with this color and it's easier on your bank account too!

5.  Capricious- This is another everyday favorite of mine, its a perfect neutral for everyday and looks so great with big cozy sweaters in oatmeal, ivory and gray!

I am sharing all of my favorite lip stick colors because they are all 15% right now!! 

For the pinks; I wear impassioned the most of theese three colors, it is such a fun bright shade that is flattering on so many skin tones.

The plums are the colors I wear the most during the week, craving and plumful are my staples and I aways have one of these on me!

Red is my favorite color lipstick to wear, it is such a classic color and I love the statement it can make. My favorite colors from MAC are All Fired Up and Ruby Woo!

Sugar Plum Pants for the holidays

I love cold weather primarily for the sake of layering. I love a oversized sweater over my favorite plaid top or a collard shirt under a cozy crew neck. These pants started the inspiration for the entire outfit. I have been drawn to this color everywhere I go lately and so when I saw these pants at Nordstrom I knew I had to have them. The plaid top matched so perfectly and then I added a neutral to help break up the matchy matchy-ness of it all. I do not think I would wear the top with the pants alone…but if you like that look I would definitely throw a belt on to break up the pieces! First Taste of Fall

I wore this outfit last Saturday running errands with Dave. We had to run to Nordstrom to make some returns and it was the absolute PERFECT fall day. I got to pull out my wool hat and booties...with plaid...and a pumpkin spice latte, I was in HEAVEN! I don't think a pumpkin spice latte that often but it just so perfect for the fall that I just had to...it's like my peppermint mocha (Christmas in a cup) during the holiday season!

 I am so excited for this weekend!! My sister and her family are coming to Wisconsin and we are meeting at my parents house to do our annual apple orchard weekend. Follow along on snapchat; cait christy. My nieces are the most adorable things on this planet...I swear!

Fall = Plaid

When I think of fall fashion, I think of plaid almost immediately. Plaid = Fall...Fall = Plaid. I was switching my closet over from summer to fall this weekend and must have pulled 20 plaid shirts out of storage!! I love this print and all the different combos it comes in! I fell in love with this plaid dress instantly...I love the colors and I love how I can wear it with boots now, and layer it more with tights and a big sweater as it gets colder! P.S : This is a great lipstick color for fall!

Six Lipsticks every girl should own

I am an absolute lipstick junkie. I love the power lipstick has over your look, how it can brighten your complexion and add an entirely new element to your look. It is my absolute favorite accessory and one I rarely go a day without wearing. 

The Classic color every girl should own;

I live for a classic red lip. I would wear it everyday and even to the gym if I could. I'm obsessed. I have two favorite reds at very different price points. I love my +MAC Cosmetics Ruby woo for a matte finish, the color is bold and you get a retro look that stays in place. What I don't like about matte lipsticks in general is that they do not glide on, it doesn't feel great to run this lipstick over your lips. BUT we do it for the look. My favorite and only drug store lipstick I have ever fallen for is this +COVERGIRL red, I own three tubes because I can never be without it. It is the perfect red for my skin tone, looks great with blue eyes and I swear it makes my teeth look pearly white. 

 The Fun color every girl should own;

 For a bright party look I absolutely love Mac Impassioned, its a bright coral that is an instant mood lifter. I wear this most weekends!

 The Girly Color every girl should own;

MACS Pink Nouveau is pretty close to Barbie Pink and looks amazing with a smokey eye. This is a basic pink you should have in your collection

The Bold Color every girl should own;

A bold lip is all the rage right now and everyone should try it. Le Fuchsia is a super bright and bold pink and I personally love the formula of +Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks. They are so smooth, moisturizing and SUPER pigmented.

 The Carefree color every girl should own;

I am so so so crazy about this lipcolor. It reminds me of a balm, gloss, lipstick in one. It is not that long lasting but is super easy to reapply. No mirror needed. I always have this color in my bag because it is easy to throw on while out and about running errands. The best part is the taste/smell of this one.....Its OH so amazing!

YAY! It's Friday! I am moving into my new apartment this weekend and I am so excited!!! Follow along on snap chat; cait christy! I have the worst cold ever right now and I have literally hardly packed one thing. I have been coming home from work so exhausted. Taking lots of emergenC today to help me prepare for the weekend!!

I love this romper because it is so different, it's defnitely a statement piece and would be so fun to wear for a night out!

Scentbird Perfume

Today I want to talk to you all about one of my new favorite subscriptions. There are so many different subscriptions out there and I've tried so many of them. Scentbird has recently become one of my favorites. I love having many different scents but perfumes tend to be very expensive so trying new ones doesn't happen as frequently as I would like. Scentbird is amazing because you get a new scent every single month! Versace, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs!

There are many pieces that I think are essentials when building a wardrobe. Your favorite denim, a great white tee, red lipstick, and for this season a great black flared skirt. You can literally put just about any top you own with this skirt which makes it so perfect for work or for play. The material is great on this one...i'm really happy with the quality and the price is great too. I urge everyone to own this piece! I wore this to work today with this new olive green top. I love this outfit because it works so well now but will also be perfect with tights and over the knee boots for fall....with a big chunky scarf (I CANT WAIT).  I also picked up a few things from the Nordstrom Aniversary Sale (I live for this sale!), including these amazing OTK boots and these jeans (These will never be this cheap again)!!
