The $12.99 Dress you absolutely must own

Dress // Sandals // LV Neverfull // Lipstick: All Fired Up // Sunglasses (my faves!)

This dress has been a summer staple of mine in so many colors! I own the stripe, black, and two blue prints. It has been my pregnancy MVP but it is not a maternity dress. I have noticed that it has gotten shorter as the bump has grown but the size small fit me very comfortably. I cant wait to wear them post pregnancy as well!

Easy Maxi Dress

Dress (ON SALE) // Cross Body Bag // Sandals  (ON SALE) // Sunglasses // Lipcolor: Capricious

This has been one of my favorite dresses this summer! I love the colors and how soft the material is. It also comes in four other prints that are equally as cute!! It's 50% off now and such a good deal!!
This dress is NOT maternity but works so well with a bump...even a full size bump! Tomorrow offically is baby girls due date but I have a feeling she is going to make us wait a bit longer. Fingers crossed she comes this week because we CANNOT wait to meet our little girl.

I wanted to put together a post now that I am almost completely through my pregnancy and officaly considered FULL TERM!!

I had my 37 week appointment on Monday and am 1cm dialted which means my body is getting ready for baby girl! I am so amazed at what the human body is capable of.

This post is complete with how I have been feeling but also the essentials I used all through my pregnancy!! I am sharing my favorite products, clothing and baby products I have received so far.
*Please note I am just sharing what worked for me during this pregnancy, everyone is different and should do what works for them!

PRE-PREGNANCY: Two months before I got pregnant I started taking prenatal vitamins, I had read it is best to start these before you are even that is just what I did! I loved Rainbow Light and also added a DHA supplement which I read helps with baby's brain and eye development!

ORGANIZATION: The amount of Doctor appointments I had on the schedule all of a sudden was just to keep it all organized I used this planner from Gallery Leather Maine. I am obsessed that I can just see a month at a time, I plan to get another for next year! They do also make a weekly version if that is more your thing!

STRETCH MARKS: My husband jokes that I have been glistening throughout this entire pregnancy because of all the lotions and oils (he calls them potions) I have been using. I wanted to try to avoid stretch marks and these are the products that worked best for me.

My favorite was Bio-Oil!! This was amazing and I used it like crazy! It dries super fast and does not leave you feeling greasy. It can be found in the first aid section at Target by neosporin and those types of things!! I also used this Palmers lotion and really liked that as well!

THE CLOTHES!!! This was a fun part of this journey because I loved discovering new brands and item types that I liked. I was able to wear a lot of my regular clothes up to 12 weeks but one of the first items I needed were maternity jeans!!

These were some of my personal favorites. I bought a variety of under the bump and over the bump styles. The under the bump were comfortable during the first two trimesters and I personally loved them because I like to "front tuck" my shirts. The over the bump were so comfortable once the bump started getting bigger. I tried to keep all pants I bought under $50 because I knew I would be wearing them for a pretty short period of time.

Dresses have been a lifesaver to me during the hot summer months and I have found SO many that I absolutely love!! Pink Blush is a super cute maternity brand and I have gotten several cute dresses from the. I feel that some of the tops still run big even in there smallest size so I have only really been able to order dresses form them.  I loved this wrap dress and wore this maxi for a baby shower I had!
ASOS also has really great maternity section. I have loveee this dress below!

DRESS Only $29 (It comes in non maternity here!!)  // BELT // SHOES (SIMILAR)

I bought the below Pajamas to wear in the hospital. They are part of the Nordstrom sale and such a good deal! I bought them in pink but once I received them in the mail I was so obsessed with how soft they were that I also ordered them in blue! Now I cannot decide which to wear in the hospital!! I will do a whole review on what I packed in my Hospital bag once baby girl is here!

-Snoogle Pillow: I held off for as long as possible on getting one of these pillows simply because we live in a condo in the city and have limited storage. I didn't want to have a bunch of stuff to have to get rid of after pregnancy....that being said. THIS WAS SUCH A GAME CHANGER. I have slept so well with this pillow and literally have brought it with on every trip I have taken because I cannot live without it.
-This water jug- its so much easier to me to up my water intake if I have straw and this holds 32oz! This was SO essential for a summer pregnancy. I bought mine in Blush Pink!
-Baby Name Announcement: I saw a fellow blogger Amber Fillerup use a hello my name is sticker to announce the name of her baby girl and loved the idea so much I had to get one as well!
Baby Book: I bought this cute one to put her first foot prints and pictures in. It can be used for the first five years and doesnthave TOO much stuff to fill in...this was crucial for me because I wasn't sure I would want to spend hours and hours filling out the information!

I have read quite a few books during my pregnancy but these have been my favorites!!

What to Expect when you're expecting: Dave reads this to me every week...We both really look forward to learning what the changes will be that week and I think its been a great way for him to learn things that I might already know from my sister or my own research.

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child: I read this book because it was recommended by so many people. It also happened that the Dr./Authors son is our Pediatrician and he will be recommending many of these sleep techniques so I wanted to be educated on the method.

Brining up Bebe: I loved this! I listened to this as an audiobook on my long commutes home and it felt more like a book than educational reading. This was about an American Mother raising her babies in Paris and how she realized that French mothers seemed to be better at setting limits and teaching their children the important skill of being able to wait.

Sephora Sale

Most of these products are my tried and true beauty essentials. I always like to stock up on the products I constantly use whenever sephora has one of their sales.

My favorite skin care products are my facewash by Kiehl's, my Kiehl's toner and my Clinique moisturizer. The facewash works so well with my Clarisonic and make my face feel so clean and smooth after each use! My toner is my favorite because it makes my skin extra squeaky clean without drying my skin out in the slightest. My all time favorite moisturizing is the Clinque Moisture Surge. I recently switched to the intense version because my skin was so dry this winter!

I am always always wearing lipstick and one of my favorite brands is Bite Beauty...this is a great time to stock up on favorites or try a new color becuase these hardly ever go on sale.  I love Cayenne for a bright true red. I use this Dior Lip Balm like craaaazy!! It is the best ever formula and it changes the color of your lips to the prettiest shade and leaves them SUPER moisturized.

My current favorite Mascara is the Two Faced Better than sex mascara, it adds so much volume to my lashes! The brow pencil I currently use is the Anastasia beverly hills Brow Wiz....I could not live without this!!

A new product I am trying during the sale is the Alterna Kendi oil. My hair is consistantly a little dry due to the long winter and heat styling so I am excited to try this to add a little gloss to my locks!

Shop all products below!!

Our wedding day 9.30.17

Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true. Dave and I had been dating for 6 years prior to our wedding and I had dreamed of this day for all 6 of those years!
The photography was honestly one of the most important parts of the day for me. I already knew Dave and I would have the best time surrounded by the family and friends that we love...but what was improtant to me was to be able to re-live that day through images for years and years to come. I am such a sentimental person and these pictures bring me right back to the moment. Sipping champagne in my bridal robe with the girls that mean the most to me. The photos with my father instatnly bring tears to my eyes becuase the moment was SO special to me. The look of just pure happiness and love I see in Dave and myself in these photos will always be something we have to share with our babies....these photos are just so important and special to me!

Our photographers name was Kalli Matthies with Kallidoscope Photography. Not only does she take the most beautiful pictures but she made us feel so at ease....and gave us these amazing tangible memories to keep forever. I am so grateful for that woman, let me just tell you!!!

This post has been a long time coming. I have written bits and pieces of it but just never got around to posting it. I wanted to take the time to share all our vendor information and give my honest reviews of the very best day of Dave and I's life.

I will start at the very beginning of the day!!
*THIS IS A SUPER LONG BLOG POST but it is filled with so much info!

Our invites were done by Amore Creative. They were a DREAM to work with. I worked with Jessica on all aspects of the design, I picked the font, the colors...literally EVERYTHING. I love that I had so much freedom to pick the elements that I wanted and that she was then able to compile it into my dream invitation suite.

The morning was so incredibly relaxing and filled with happiness. All  my girls started to show up around 8am for hair and makeup. We used Brides by Kelly for hair and makeup...the girls were all so sweet and did 12 heads of hair and makeup in record time. It was PERFECT.

The weather was insanely perfect, beautiful sunshine coming in through the windows and 70 degrees.
We had bagels, mimosas, coffee and fresh fruit and we all just spent the sunny morning laughing and just so excited for the day to come.  I am sharing my wedding spotify playlist here because it was the perfect background music for the most perfect morning.

I bought the flower girls these precious monogrammed robes when I asked them to be in the wedding. They were made of a super nice waffle material and I was really happy with how they turned out!

See below for what I gifted my bridesmaids;

My Robe // Bridesmaids Robes ( I am not sure if they make the exact print I selected anymore)

My girls and I are all wearing the lipstick colors Plumful or Craving

I personalized these adorable duffle bags for the bridesmaids in both Pink and Olive green. They were perfect for bringing everything they needed to and from the church, reception and hotel!

I bought my bridesmaids these pashminas in case the evening got chilly!

Having my sister and mom get me into my dress was one of the happiest moments of my life. I am so glad these moments were documented so I can relive this morning over and over!

My wedding dress can be found here... I was, am, and will forever be obsessed with this gown!!!

After we arrived at the church I did a first look with my father. I am the baby of the family and this was just a really special moment between us.

We got married at St. James Lutheran Church in Lincoln Park. Its a beautiful area and a church filled with really amazing people.

We hopped on a trolley from Second City in Chicago. They were great however the one thing I wish we could have changed was the traffic....AH We wanted to head from Lincoln Park to The Planetarium for photos. I wish that either the driver or one of us would have looked to see that with the traffic it was going to take far to long to get there. We ended up having enough time but did have to take some pictures in a rush!

We did eventually make it to the planetarium area which has some of the best city views mixed with lake michigan in my opinion. The sun shining off the blue water was STUNNING and made for some really gorgeous pictures.

Bridesmaids Dreses I used these three styles in Almond ( one. two. three)  // Daves Tuxedo // Groomsmans Calvin Klein Tuxedos // Flower Girl Dress

Another one of my favorite decsisions of our wedding day was the venue itself. We got married at River Roast in downtown Chicago and it was the absolute PERFECT venue. We picked River Roast because it had some real chicago charm, we were able to utilize the balcony space and with that you get the Chicago River and some beautiful Chicago skyline.

We arrived via the Wendella Water Taxi which was just SO fun!

We had Donovan Nixon play the Jazz Guitar during cocktail hour which was a blast!!!

Our Florist was Trablume and Melissa was the most amazing person ever!! She was so patient with me, made me beautiful mock ups and transformed our space into the lush romantic wonder I has imagined.
I wanted huge white hydrangeas, big garden roses and lush greenery....she captured my ideas so perfectly.

Our cake was from Urban Icing. We selected Red Velvet, and Marble! It was delicious!!!

The part that I believe made our wedding so much fun for dancing was our wedding band! We chose TVK Orchestra for our big day and they were absolutely out of this world amazing. People danced literally the entire night and the dance floor was PACKED.  I would reccomend them in my top 3 wedding day vendors I could not have lived without!!

We decided to have champagne place cards to held our guests find their seats. Dave and I are HUGE fans of bubbly and we thought this was a perfect way to add a personalized touch. We added a sign next to the glassses with one of my favorite quotes about champagne..."Come quickly I am tasting the Stars!"

Words cannot describe our perfect this day was to us. It is a day we will remember and truly cherish forever.

We are so thankful to our families, our friends, the amazing vendors we got to meet along the way and just for the opportunity to be able to celebrate our love in such a beautiful way!
