The Fourth of July is one of my favorite Holidays. For as long as I can remember it has been a holiday spent at my lake house with family, food and the water. I love being out on the boat and having the long weekend with family. I have also always loved picking an outfit for the day. I think this year I will plan to wear a white dress with red lipstick!

AH. okay so I am in loveeee with this outfit. It is so comfy but looks so pulled together! The perfect summer work outfit for me! If you are in the market for any new oversize/drapey v-neck tees these from +Madewell are my absolute favorite!! They are the perfect shape and so soft! ALSO...Madewell is available at +Nordstrom now...so say hello to free shipping! My skirt is currently on sale for less than $30. The midi skirt is one of my favorite trends and the ruching on the side is super flattering on this particular skirt!

I love to have an array of comfy dresses in my closet. That go-to comfy thing you can always throw on... I love this dress from +Forever 21 because it is such a great basic to build an outfit upon. I threw on this vest for some texture and this fun necklace to complete the look. This dress actually comes in FOUR colors I just realized....I am definitely going to order the gray because when its $10.90...why not?

Chambray + Polka Dots

I am kind of obsessed with polka dots and chambray... put them together and I'm a goner. No way was I leaving the store without this baby. I belted it because I didn't want such a babydoll silhouette on this particular day but it is totally cute unbelted as well! This dress would be so cute to wear for The Fourth of July with a bright red lip or these red sandals!

It was absolutely FREEZING in Chicago on friday night. I did not pack well for the weekend so I had to quickly run out to H&M to find a long sleeve top. I love this one because the sleeves are adorable! I also found this hat there and am absolutely obsessed with it!

Summer Vest

I love layering. There is something about putting more things together/on that feels more complete to me. For example jeans, a tank and a kimono, or a collared shirt and a sweater. Layering in the summer can be more difficult because with the heat... less is usually more. That is why I love this longer chiffon like vest. It's super light weight and looks great with white denim which I also love for warmer weather. My long tank is a closet essential and is currently on sale for $16!! (STEAL) I picked this light lavender color with the vest because it was the most understated color in the vest itself. When choosing a layering color with a bright print I typically go for the most understated color so that the print itself will stand out!

If you haven't heard me talk about my love for these white jeans yet...Holy Moley...I love them. They are so soft and comfy and for a price you absolutely cannot beat!

I love this swing dress by Glamorous, I also own it in a print and it's just one of my favorite things to wear! It is a little bit short on me....if you're taller than 5'7 I would probably steer clear of this dress! For shorter friends...you're going to love this!! I paired it with my favorite booties from Forever 21, I have been wearing them nonstop!
