I hope you all had a great weekend! Dave was in Chicago for an interview so I went there Friday night for dinner with his family. We poured over photos from his parents most recent state park trip to the badlands. They visit a state park every year and are trying to check each off their list. This is totally something Dave and I would love to do! We are thinking Alaska or Canada next summer for a fun adventure!

Sometimes my favorite outfits are the most simple. I love jeans paired with a great white top. I love this one because of the deep v-neck. ALSO. These new leopard heels are AMAZING.

First off let me say that this is the perfect dress for just about everything!!! I love it for work, a wedding, a baby shower....It is so flattering and such a great color to have in your wardrobe. I paired my favorite lipstick color with it to up the fun factor a little more. 

I had the very best weekend with some of my best friends. They came to see my new apartment and to explore my new(ish) city with me. We had tacos and margaritas...and of course CHAMPAGNE! It was so fun to introduce my college friends to my new work friends and to even see some friends from as far back as high school! It was really fun to see people from all places in my life and see how you can relationships have changed and grown over the years. On Saturday Kelsey and I went to the Lakefront Brewery Tour in Milwaukee. We had so much fun learning about and drinking beer. It was overall a successful and amazing weekend filled with people I love. Four Days (AND COUNTING) until I am in DC with Dave and get to explore his new city! Can't wait!!

I'm definitely more of a color person, but I also think that having great neutral pieces is essential to building your wardrobe. They are typically the easiest combination to put together and that is great for days where you are struggling to put an outfit together. I love this sweater because of the leather elbow patches, it takes a basic sweater and adds the perfect detail. Also, I've been wearing these boots like crazy lately. They make my legs look longer and that is always a good thing!
