Pink has always been a color I have been super drawn too, it is such a happy color and such a statement maker. It is also so girly and I am a huge fan of anything girly and fabulous.

I wore these shorts in Florida on vacation and cannot wait to wear them again this summer. They are so light and are perfect for wearing during the day or you can definitely dress them up with heels for a summer night out!

The fog has been relentless in Milwaukee for the past week. I had to throw on some bight colors to try to break away from the gloominess! I love this kelly green cardigan for spring transition and even into the summer. I love kelly green with navy and cannot wait to pair this with a navy and white striped skirt or dress! This striped top one of my new favorite items. I love the contrasting stripe ruffle trim down the front, its perfect for work or play!

I have a short work week this week as I am taking off Friday to head to Minneapolis to pick up my Wedding Dress! It was not supposed to be ready until March but it is here early and I cannot even wait to try it on again!

I have never neglected the blog so long in my life. I am so happy to be back and so sorry for my absence. The holidays are my absolute favorite time of the year, I was completely unplugged from my devices and just spent so much quality time with my family. It was so wonderful and much needed. My family keeps growing, so the house around the holidays is a full one. The silence that occurs once everyone leaves is the saddest silence I know. Dave thinks I get slightly depressed on the day I realize Christmas really is over. It's probably a little true, the days just fly by!! I need a month of christmas I swear!!

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a great week and didn't have too much trouble adjusting back to the work life. I know Monday was ROUGH for me. I am heading to a hockey game in Madison tonight to watch my cousin play and to see some good college friends. On saturday Dave and I will be heading to Chicago to the Opera! With Dave living in DC we have not had many opportunities to attend the opera anymore. Now that he is home for a month from school we are making sure to do our favorite things in Chicago!

I swear this dress would be flattering on just about anybody and it comes in about 7 different colors! The fit is perfect and would be perfect for absolutely any event you have for the summer. This bright pink color is so fun and bright but I also love the mint!

I love light pink and gold together and the chambray top is a great neutral to add to the mix. I kept this oufit simple because I am wearing pink pants after all! I haven't been able to stop wearing these Jack Roger Jelly sandals since I got them, they come in so many other colors as well.

April Showers bring Kimono Flowers

I wore this out to dinner and then out with friends on Friday night. It was SO warm in Chicago on Friday!! I loved being able to be able to walk to dinner and then sit on the rooftop after! This was the perfect outfit for the night. I love kimonos or really any boho look because it allows me to just pile on the jewelry. I got this new bracelet from Forever 21 and I think I wore it with everything this weekend! These sunnies are also new and are under $6!!!

I got to see my friend from Nashville on Friday night also and it just seems like we never have enough time to catch up. I could talk to that girl for 10 days straight and we would still have things to talk about!! 

ohhhh also...Dave and I tried Jelly Fish for sushi and it was SO crazy good!! I actually hadn't seen Dave since I got the news about my new job so of course we had to celebrate with Sushi. my fave!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends. I spent the weekend with my two little nieces in Minneapolis. They were so excited for all things easter!! I'm so sorry for the lack and quality of blog posts last week... I was so busy running around, visiting friends, interviewing for a new job and getting ready to leave for my weekend in Minnesota. This week I have a pretty open schedule which will be so nice for my to-do list that is pages long...seriously it's intense. How do you all stay organized? Planners and notebooks full of lists are essential to my survival!

For a printed cardigan it is crazy how much use I get out of this leopard one! I bought mine from Old Navy but I found two similar ones and linked them above. I also wore this tank yesterday for Easter (shh!) it is such a bright fun color and its one sale right now! I wore it with this skirt which I am obsessed with!!!

Also I wanted to talk to you about these shoes!! I don't usually wear flats but when I do these +Tieks  are my go-to pair. I wore them everywhere in Europe and they saved my feet from so much pain! They fold up into the cutest little pouch so you can carry them to and from in your purse and pull them out when you want to switch from heels to flats!

Dresses are my go to item for spring and summer, they definitely are the most popular item in my closet. I love the sleeves on this dress, they are so pretty! I love starting an outfit with a blank slate such as black and white because I am such a lipstick lover and with black and white outfits you have the freedom to choose any color. I am obsessed with this YSL color Rose Intime, it smells so good I literally want to eat it! I saw Cinderella last night and LOVED it!! Cinderella is played by Lily James who is one of my favorite actresses from another staple show of mine, Downton Abbey.

I love nothing more than being able to sit by the pool and read a good book. Right now i'm reading All the Light we cannot see. I like it...I'll let you know if I love it when i'm done. I'm heading to Minnesota this weekend for my nieces third birthday party (how did she get this big?!). I expected it to be super cold there, but it is supposed to be 70 degrees there on Sunday! Yay!
