Polka dots & Pink!

Coat (similar here & here) // Lace top (similar here too) // Skirt (similar here)// Shoes; old navy (similar here & here) // Lips; Le Fuchsia

I have never neglected the blog so long in my life. I am so happy to be back and so sorry for my absence. The holidays are my absolute favorite time of the year, I was completely unplugged from my devices and just spent so much quality time with my family. It was so wonderful and much needed. My family keeps growing, so the house around the holidays is a full one. The silence that occurs once everyone leaves is the saddest silence I know. Dave thinks I get slightly depressed on the day I realize Christmas really is over. It's probably a little true, the days just fly by!! I need a month of christmas I swear!!
Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a great week and didn't have too much trouble adjusting back to the work life. I know Monday was ROUGH for me. I am heading to a hockey game in Madison tonight to watch my cousin play and to see some good college friends. On saturday Dave and I will be heading to Chicago to the Opera! With Dave living in DC we have not had many opportunities to attend the opera anymore. Now that he is home for a month from school we are making sure to do our favorite things in Chicago!

ICY blue

Sweater // Skirt // Tights (2 for $24!) // Booties (similar) // Crossbody Bag // Watch // Earrings (obsessed) // Lipstick; Cruella

I ran so my errands last night it is a miracle I was able to get this blog post up! :)
I have my office party today and we are heading to Coopers Hawk for some mush deserved wine! For our gift exchange we each bought our own favorite thing…wrapped it up and we will then each select a gift and try to guess who it is from. I bought Champagne (MY FAVE) and these amazing stemless champagne glasses from Crate and Barrel.  I then ran to The Container Store for some gift wrapping. They have the CUTEST christmas wrappings. I was in heaven and could not decide what to get. I loved EVERYTHING!!! I chose a pretty gold gift bag to put my champagne and glasses in and then attached a cute golden snowflake ornament to the bag. It looked perfect!

Chambray + Polka Dots

Dress // Belt // Wedges // Lipstick: Jungle // Watch // Handbag (similar)

I am kind of obsessed with polka dots and chambray... put them together and I'm a goner. No way was I leaving the store without this baby. I belted it because I didn't want such a babydoll silhouette on this particular day but it is totally cute unbelted as well! This dress would be so cute to wear for The Fourth of July with a bright red lip or these red sandals!

Hey there! This post is about 4 months late...OOPS. But I always come back to this outfit and just love it. I love mixing patterns! This is definitely a trendy thing to do right now. I'm not sure how much longer it is going to last, SO...I'm taking full advantage. I went to Europe with my boyfriend in July and packing was something I took quite seriously. I had post its for every day of the trip set out on my dining room table, on each post it I had the date, and what we had planned for that day...then I planned my outfits accordingly. Because I wanted to have a cute outfit everyday I found that this was the easiest way to make sure I had a complete outfit without overpacking. I laid out everything from the clothes, to the jewelry to the handbag I would use. It was one of the best things i've ever done, I wore ever item I brought! These photos were taken in the absolutely breathtaking Giverney, France in the gardens of Claude Monet. If you ever find yourself in Paris, take a day trip to Giverney! The french countryside is beautiful!
